Futility – A Poem

March 6, 2013

Human beings, a scourge on this earth
rampantly, mindlessly, giving birth
to what, they neither know, nor care
its just a badge, with pride they can wear

I don’t envy our future, nor do I worship our past
I just know all is fleeting, and nothing will last
On people go, in search of an impossible goal:
a life that from us, cannot possibly be stole

But all is lost, in a matter of time
We must go back to the nothing from which we came
Life has no rythym, it has no rhyme
it is just a temporary spark, a burning flame
