A Wanderer

February 27, 2014

A wanderer of the lands

a drifter over the sands

making do with the little he can find

in this mentally taxing grind

pursued with vigor and resolve

primed only to evolve

till death always to roam

never to return home.

  1. The wanderer, “to death always to roam / never to return home” even if under the familiar roof. Well done!

    • Yes, indeed, many of us may have homes in a sense, but we don’t really ever get to return home in life, as we make one-way decisions that we can’t go back on. Some of these poems today were inspired by quantum leap, He, of course, never got to go home in a more literal sense. I have just been watching through it again lately, and watched the last episode tonight, a truly great and inspiring tv show.
