Percy Bysshe Shelley

November 4, 2016

Ah Shelley, the poet of the romantic dream!

with hope and faith in all that seems,

whirling through this world so fast

never dull nor overcast

a wordsmith wonder to behold

Of lustful sensuous beauty bold

nothing abrupt, nor stern nor cold,

smoothly flowing through all the folds

Luscious, loquacious, deeply refined

for passion was his heart designed,

welcomed, loved, a martyr for his idea:

that desire knows no limits, nor fears.
