Travelling Onwards

February 22, 2018

Travelling through life from day to day

aware of a desire never to stay.

Always moving from one thing to another

no lasting satisfaction to discover.

Never enough to offer, never enough to give

Finding excuses to continue to live.

Distractions from the predictable end

the doom into which I must descend.

People I simply fail to understand.

So myself I try to expand.

To encompass all that there can be

to end the deep fear that is in me.

A hollow and vacuous attempt to control,

to empty out my burdensome soul.

So onwards I must proceed,

trying to help, trying to please.

My tragic and terminal disease.
